Rules For Rounding Numbers

1   1.  If the numbers will be rounded off less than 5, the last digit was changed to 0 and numbers in front of him anyway.

·         494 then rounded to 490

·         4561 then rounded to 4560

·         65873 then rounded to 65870

·         65,72 then rounded to 65,70

·         0,453 then rounded to 0,450

·         0,0061 then rounded to 0,0060

2    2. If the figures will be rounded up more than 5, the last digit was changed to 0 and numbers in front plus one.

·         456 then rounded to 460

·         9879 then rounded to 9880

·         64838 then rounded to 64840

·         87,69 then rounded to 87,70

·         0,738 then rounded to 0,740

·         0,0766 then rounded to 0,0770

3     3. If the numbers will be rounded exactly 5, then there are two possibilities

a.       When the front of the number 5 odd numbers, then the number in front plus 1.

·         8,35 then rounded to 8,40

·         7615 then rounded to 7620

·         4655 then rounded to 4660

·         4,5 then rounded to 4,0

·         74,35 then rounded to 74,40

·         0,035 then rounded to 0,080

b.      If the number 5 in front of an even numbers, then the number in front of fixed and number 5 was changed to 0.

·         45 then rounded to 40

·         685 then rounded to 680

·         7665 then rounded to 7660

·         76,5 then rounded to 76,0

·         0,0725 then rounded to 0,0720
